Buffalo, NY

Press Release

wellconnected is thrilled to announce that founder and CEO Duane Conners was honored as “Tech Leader of the Year” at this year’s BETAS ceremony.

The BETAS are an annual awards gala held by InfoTech WNY to highlight the amazing things happening in our technology community.

wellconnected is a Buffalo-based startup company bringing its innovative ‘allco’ platform to the social care industry. Allco allows nonprofits to adopt best practices in case management and data collection, while also creating collaborative regional networks that work together to serve community members.

“I’m truly humbled by this recognition and see it as a mandate to continue bringing best practices to an industry that sorely needs better ways to manage, track and report on social care,” Conners said. “I see this as recognition that our employees, advisors, industry partners and customers are working together to bring widescale paradigm change.”

Founded in 2021, wellconnected has grown quickly over the past two years as allco has been adopted across the U.S. Some of its ongoing use cases include:

* Working with homeless shelters in Chicago and their clinical partners to create a first-of-its-kind community information exchange. The project gives shelter staff and clinical teams a single environment for managing referrals, care coordination, and client data — with role-based access and appropriate consents. Read more here

* Monmouth County chose ‘allco’ as the electronic referral tool for its countywide Monmouth ACTS program, a recognition that coordinated social care can create better outcomes for community members. During the first year using allco, the program resulted in an 88% closed-loop referral success rate and assisted 1,600 community members with nearly 800 referrals. Read more here

* ‘Allco’ supports the Erie County ReEntry Coalition with referrals and case management. While referrals used to be made on an ad hoc basis and there was no formal system for tracking formerly incarcerated individuals. Now ‘allco’ is used to create more collaborative relationships between community partners, making referrals easier and generating data that can be used to guide everything from high-level strategy to individual care. Read more here.
