wellconnected inks statewide agreement with New York State AHEC

wellconnected has signed a statewide agreement with New York State Area Health Education Center to modernize its technology infrastructure and support education, engagement, and coordination across AHEC programs throughout New York.

Under the agreement, NYS AHEC will transition to allco as its centralized platform for education management, training and certification tracking, community engagement, and reporting. The contract also establishes wellconnected as an approved New York State vendor, enabling AHEC agencies across the state to adopt allco through a single, unified system.

The New York State AHEC program is led by the University at Buffalo and funded by the New York State Department of Health. It supports both rural and urban AHECs across the state, providing education, training, and workforce development for health professionals including community health workers, EMTs, CNAs, LPNs, and others. Many AHECs also serve as trusted community hubs, connecting students and workers to wraparound services and local resources.

Through allco, AHECs will now operate on a single modern platform that replaces legacy tools and fragmented workflows. For rural AHECs in particular, allco also enables stronger coordination around social care needs, allowing agencies to better support students and communities beyond education alone.

This statewide agreement builds on wellconnected’s growing work with community health workers, pharmacies, and public health partners, including recent initiatives tied to workforce development and rural health transformation. It also reflects a broader pattern. As organizations experience success with allco, they expand its use to support new functions and new populations.

For wellconnected, the NYS AHEC agreement is both a major customer win and a strong validation of its model. AHEC programs exist in every state. Proving success at a statewide level in New York positions allco to support similar systems nationwide as health education and community infrastructure continue to modernize.
